- Texas Congressmen request earmark money for out of state—and even of the country—pet projects
- Virginia town stopped from using federal funds to reimburse itself for cost of payment of a loan for “a high-end downtown hotel and restaurant complex”
- $500,000 Congressional earmark for a pedestrian underpass at a Vermont town’s intersections intended to provide “the essential link to shopping centers and restaurants, according to town officials”
- The $33 million bike path in Louisiana; $1 million earmark pays for latest extension and $125,000 federal grant pays to study the next extension
- “Tug of war” between federal agency and the local politicians over earmark continues

i don’t know why you want to insult this poor pig by showing his picture as a poster rep for all the crooks and thieves we have elected to “represent” us. why don’t you post a picture of the biggest porker of all times, “kkk” byrd of west va.
rather than insult the pig why don’t you wage an “Ugliest Whore Contest” and let the winner represent congress?
I agree that this insults pigs. By choice, they tend to be clean. Left to their own devices they bathe often. They prefer wholesome food but some people feed them swill with predictable results. I know because I raised pigs as a lad. I also hunted wild ones in the woods and they can be formidable opponents.
The whore analogy is a good one. Pictures of Heidi Fleiss and members of Congress belong together. I was never young enough or desperate enough to have found Heidi of any interest at all. The same is true for me for all members of both houses of our Congress.
Until Libertarians run government, this will never stop!
